Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Is a partial repipe a false economy?

Not if the failing material is confined to one branch. Replacing the run that's causing trouble is often the right call. It becomes false economy when the same material is everywhere and failures are spreading.

Why does the pressure drop only when the shower is running?

Restricted supply pipe somewhere upstream, often corroded galvanised. It can also be a partly closed valve or a failing regulator. Gauging pressure static and running tells them apart.

Do I need to do anything with outdoor hose bibs?

Disconnect the hoses before winter. A hose left attached traps water in the bib, and when that freezes the split often happens back inside the wall where you won't see it until spring. Houses in Kershaw and Heath Springs lose bibs that way every year.

Who is responsible for a leak in the yard?

If it's on the house side of the meter, it's yours. Water surfacing on the street side is the utility's. Watching the meter with everything off usually confirms which.
